Alcon's 354,000 square feet Houston manufacturing location facility has over 750 employees who are dedicated to manufacturing the highest quality Custom-Pak® Surgical Packs and consumable products.
Alcon's Custom-Pak® surgical packs are manufactured to the customer's unique specifications and contains virtually every item the surgeon will need for a single surgery. Houston's engineers, technicians and support teams manufacture each Custom-Pak® to include 30-35 components chosen from the thousands stocked by the Houston plant, arranged in the exact sequence requested by the customer.
The products manufactured in Houston are assembled under stringent, controls and conditions, and all must be tested every step of the way. In Houston, employees embrace the concept of continuous improvement in their responsibility for testing products and processes from the moment raw material is delivered until well after the sale of each unit in a production batch.
