Supplier Diversity
Diversity helps all of us to be successful. Alcon is committed to expanding our work with diverse suppliers that include small, small minority, woman-owned small, veteran-owned small, service-disabled veteran-owned small, HUBZone, Indian Tribes (IT) and Alaskan Native Corporations (ANC).
Alcon initiated a Supplier Diversity Program to develop and nurture diverse supplier relationships. Our purchasing professionals are responsible for identifying and contracting with qualified, diverse suppliers that meet Alcon's specification requirements.
We promote diverse supplier participation reflective of the business community in which we live and work, and we encourage economic development. Our commitment demonstrates compliance with Alcon's corporate values and responsibility. We welcome all potential suppliers who can add value to our products and services on a competitive basis.
Our small business development goal for diverse suppliers is to increase their participation in our bidding processes at each Alcon domestic facility. Annually, Alcon recognizes at least one or more diverse suppliers from our supplier database. An Alcon US office is also recognized for increasing annual expenditures with diverse suppliers.
