Technical Service
The Technical Service Department provides service for Alcon equipment that is covered by Alcon Service Agreements or Alcon Service Warranty, and all other Alcon equipment on an "as required" basis. Alcon Service Engineers work exclusively with Alcon equipment and comply with our strict manufacturing guidelines to ensure that equipment is performing to specification. They are familiar with surgical and clinical environments, as well as advanced technical issues.
Once covered by an Alcon Service Agreement an instrument is subject to routine maintenance calls where the instrument is completely checked over, re-calibrated and, when required, brought up to factory specifications. All appropriate parts are cleaned, re-aligned or replaced as necessary. Alcon offers two different types of Service Agreements and a variety of terms of payments. The objective of the Alcon Service Agreement is to assist the Ophthalmologist and his/her staff to provide superior ophthalmic care and services for the patient in a cost-effective and productive manner. Service Agreements can also cover emergency service calls where, no matter what the problem, you are guaranteed a priority response to get the equipment back into operation as soon as possible.
For further information or if you would like to enrol in Alcon's Instrument Maintenance Program please phone our Technical Service Department on (02) 9452 9329.
