POLYZYM® Enzymatic Cleaner

After a period of wearing, your contact lenses will develop a film on the lens surface caused by protein and other deposits fromn your tears.POLYZYM Enzymatic Cleaner contains enzymes which break up protein and other hard-to-remove lens deposits, making them easier to remove.

POLYZYM Enzymatic Cleaner is indicated for convenient one step enzyme cleaning of all soft, disposable, RGP and hard contact lenses.

POLYZYM Enzymatic Cleaner contains pancreatin (equivalent to not less than 3.5 units of protease activity) B.P 2.5 mg per tablet.


Instructions For Use

Step One:

  • Fill the lens cases to the fill line (5 mL) with preserved saline. DO NOT USE DISTILLED OR TAP WATER.

Step Two:

  • Clean lenses with your daily cleaner, rinse and then place the lenses in the appropriate lens case (R for right, L for left).
  • Drop one POLYZYM Enzymatic Cleaner tablet into each case. The tablet will rapidly disolve.
  • Close the lid on each lens case.

Step Three:

  • Soak the lenses in the cleaning solution for a minimum of 15 minutes. If lenses are very dirty or have not been cleaned regularly, soak lenses for 1 to 2 hours.
  • NOTE: The solution will not disinfect the lenses.
  • DO NOT SOAK THE LENSES IN THE SOLUTION FOR MORE THAN 12 HOURS.
Step Four:

  • Wash your hands.
  • Remove lenses from the lens cases and rinse thoroughly with preserved saline.
  • Lenses should then be cleaned with your normal daily cleaner and disinfected as recommended by your eye care practitioner.
  • Rinse the lens cases in warm water and allow to dry.
  • NOTE: It is recommended that lens cases are replaced regularly.
