Merrick McCracken
Senior Vice President, Human Resources
Merrick McCracken is senior vice president of Human Resources for Alcon Laboratories, Inc., a subsidiary of Alcon, Inc., the world's largest eye care company. He leads and directs Alcon’s global Human Resources organization and is a member of Alcon's Executive Leadership Team.
Mr. McCracken joined Alcon in January 2010 and brings broad strategic and operational Human Resources leadership experience to Alcon. His background includes over twenty years of global Human Resources leadership experience acquired in corporate, divisional, regional and affiliate roles with Fortune 100 biopharmaceutical companies.
Mr. McCracken began his career in Montreal, Canada in the airline industry and after a three-year period, joined Bristol-Myers Squibb. During his 11-year tenure with Bristol-Myers Squibb, he served in a variety of Human Resources leadership roles within their international commercial and global Research & Development organizations. In 2001, Mr. McCracken joined Wyeth as vice president, Human Resources, Intercontinental, supporting Wyeth businesses in Asia Pacific and Latin America. He went on to serve in various global senior Human Resources positions including vice president for Europe, Middle East and Africa, vice president for North America, corporate vice president of Global Talent Management and Leadership Development and vice president of Global Manufacturing.
Mr. McCracken is a results-based leader with passion and expertise in the areas of leadership and organizational development, talent management and large-scale transformational change. He obtained his degree in Economics and Industrial Relations from McGill University in Montreal, Canada.
