ISO 14001
The Environmental Management System (EMS) at Alcon is a global management system structured to appropriately integrate environmental regulations and issues into our division policies, planning and operations.
The Environmental Management System at Alcon is consistent with the International Standard, ISO 14001, which focuses on effects on the environment as a result of Alcon products, activities and services and the steps we can take to continually improve environmental performance.
In 2010, North America manufacturing operations at Alcon began the transition from operating under individual site certificates to one "global" ISO 14001 certificate held by the Alcon Division Health, Safety, and Environment group. The South American and European operations have also begun to join this certificate with all Alcon Manufacturing Operations worldwide assimilated by year end 2014.
