Process for Continual Improvement
Alcon's commitment to continual improvement involves observing processes and systems governing the business then making any necessary changes to increase their effectiveness and efficiency. Alcon continually undertakes projects, as part of our Quality Management System, designed to improve our productivity and quality. This system involves the use of a Quality Policy, regularly reviewed quality objectives, audits of our results, analysis of various data points, corrective and preventive actions and regular management reviews. Through tracking the success of this integral system, we are able to adjust our processes and uncover other opportunities for improvement.
This important system infiltrates our entire organization, driving the products researched and the ways in which they are researched, down to the ways they are supported. In addition, this process is integral to continual improvement of our associates, products and business processes such as environmental management and manufacturing.
