Alcon realizes that success is not merely measured by innovation, but effective implementation as well. Thus, we foster an important relationship with practicing physicians. We want to provide them with the best tools possible while offering instruction on how to best utilize these resources − requiring a level of interaction and exchange that few other ophthalmic companies provide.
By working directly with physicians to educate them on new procedures, equipment and products, Alcon is able to gain valuable insight into the effectiveness and future applications of our products. The result is more current education of eye care specialists and better products that exceed the expectations of both patients and physicians.
Alcon accomplishes this by constantly looking for new areas throughout the world that can benefit from our proficiencies, procedures and products. We also supply and fund medical missions that travel around the globe to communities lacking proper eye care – exposing both local and volunteer eye care professionals to the latest and newest techniques and products.
Alcon also offers many educational opportunities for Ophthalmologists, Optometrists and medical residents through its medical education programs.
