New code - J3300 - injection, triamcinolone acetonide, preservative free, 1 mg
Effective Date - The new code is effective for dates of service on or after January 1, 2009. Using the new code prior to this date could result in denied claims.
Units - TRIESENCE® Suspension is a single dose vial containing 40mg per mL. and is reimbursed per vial, not per dose (mg). In order to receive correct reimbursement, providers must bill 40 mg.
