Do patients have to take part in this research study?

It is up to a patient to decide whether to take part or not. If he/she decides to take part he/she is still free to withdraw at any time and without giving a reason.  This will not affect the standard of care he/she receives.  If a patient decides to terminate his/her participation, for the patient’s own safety the researchers will perform a final examination on the patient’s eyes.
