PATADAY™ Ophthalmic Solution 

Eye allergies find relief with PATADAY™ Ophthalmic Solution.PATADAY™ (olopatadine hydrochloride solution) 0.2%, is Alcon's prescription allergy eye drop and is known in some markets as PATANOL® S Solution. PATADAY™ Solution has twice the concentration of PATANOL® Solution, and is approved for once daily dosing for ocular itching associated with allergic conjunctivitis.

PATADAY™ Solution is for topical ocular use only and should not be injected or swallowed. To prevent contamination of the dropper tip and solution, avoid touching the dropper tip to your eyelids or the surrounding areas with the dropper tip of the bottle.  Keep the bottle tightly closed when it is not in use.

Talk to your eye care professional about using PATADAY™ Solution with contact lenses.  Don’t wear contact lenses if your eyes are red.  PATADAY™ Solution should not be used to treat contact lens-related irritation.  Always remove your contact lenses before administering PATADAY™ Solution. PATADAY™ Solution contains the preservative benzalkonium chloride, or BAK.  BAK may be absorbed by soft contact lenses.  If you wear soft contacts and your eyes are not red, you should wait at least ten minutes after administering PATADAY™ Solution before inserting your contacts.

The two most common side effects reported with the use of PATADAY™ Solution are cold-like symptoms and pharyngitis (sore throat).  About 10% of patients experience one of these conditions. For full U.S. prescribing information, see the product insert below.

 PATANOL® / OPATANOL® Ophthalmic Solution 

Patanol® / Opatanol® Ophthalmic SolutionPATANOL® (olopatadine hydrochloride ophthalmic solution) 0.1%, also known in many countries as OPATANOL® Solution, is the world's leading prescription allergy eye drop used to treat the signs and symptoms of allergic conjunctivitis including itching, redness, chemosis, tearing and lid swelling.

Wait 10 minutes after using PATANOL® Solution before inserting contact lenses. Patients should not touch the bottle tip to any surface to avoid the risk of contamination.

This product should not be taken by patients with a sensitivity or allergy to its ingredients. Safety and efficacy have not been determined in children under age three. Caution should be used when administering this drug to pregnant or nursing women. The most common side effect of PATANOL® Solution is a headache, but patients may also experience blurred vision, burning, stinging or nausea, as well as other effects.
