Across 45 locations worldwide, approximately 3,400 Alcon volunteers gave back to those underserved in their societies by addressing health, hunger, education and housing needs.

For the 10^th consecutive year, Alcon associates from around the world participated in Alcon in Action, an annual day dedicated to strengthening local communities through volunteer activities. Across 45 locations worldwide, approximately 3,400 Alcon volunteers gave back to those underserved in their societies by addressing health, hunger, education and housing needs.

Overall, nearly 14,000 volunteer hours were dedicated to more than 160 activities and Alcon associates made a personal, tangible difference in the communities where they work and live. Alcon volunteers assembled more than 7,000 health kits, packed or served over 60,000 meals, completed 17 projects to restore houses and community buildings, and assembled more than 2,500 school supplies kits.

At our headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland, volunteer activities included working at a local food bank, sorting and distributing clothes for people in need, and performing a community clean-up. At our North American flagship campus in Fort Worth, Texas, over a hundred associates participated in a home build in partnership with Habitat for Humanity to provide affordable housing to a local family eager to have a stable, healthy home.

In addition to the efforts in Switzerland and the U.S., Alcon volunteers performed activities in 30 other countries, including Brazil, Denmark, Egypt, Japan and Malaysia, among many others. In Korea, volunteers packed over 150 boxes that included hygiene products, health supplements and letters for underserved children. In India, volunteers helped restore a school and orphanage, provided educational materials, and gave food supplies to a local charitable organization.

As we celebrate our 75^th anniversary, Alcon remains dedicated to helping build stronger, healthier communities. Alcon in Action is an important day to bring this commitment to life each year. And all year long, our corporate giving team provides in-person and virtual volunteering opportunities to all associates around the world through partnerships, activities and donations led by Alcon Cares and the Alcon Foundation.
