UNITY VCS and UNIPEXY Available for Demonstration at the Alcon Booth
In addition to UNITY VCS, which will be available for surgeons to demo and purchase during ASRS, Alcon will be providing demo of the UNIPEXY Gas Delivery System. UNIPEXY is a highly portable, in-clinic gas delivery system featuring an integrated single-dose pico-cylinder of perfluoropropane (C3F8) or sulfur hexafluoride (SF6), enabling convenient and efficient pneumatic retinopexy.^7-9

The UNITY^® VCS (Vitreoretinal Cataract System) console, when used with compatible devices, is indicated for use during anterior segment (i.e., phacoemulsification and removal of cataracts) and posterior segment (i.e., vitreoretinal) ophthalmic surgery. In addition, with the optional laser, this system is indicated for photocoagulation (i.e., vitreoretinal and macular pathologies), iridotomy and trabeculoplasty procedures. About UNIPEXY™ Gas Delivery System

The UNIPURE (SF₆ or C₃F₈) Ophthalmic Gas in the UNIFEYE Gas Delivery System UNIPEXY Gas Delivery System is indicated for intraocular injection into the eye for the treatment of uncomplicated retinal detachments. Associated measures used include vitrectomy, fluid/air exchange, transconjunctival and transscleral cryotherapy, and laser photocoagulation.
