Commitment to Integrity and Compliance

We are committed to demonstrating integrity in everything we do. What we do at Alcon is critical to help people see better; how we conduct our business in the workplace, in the marketplace, and in society determines our success as a business. We believe in conducting our business fairly and ethically and in a manner consistent with all applicable legal and industry code requirements.

Code of Business Conduct

Our Code of Business Conduct (“Code”) serves as the foundation of our Integrity and Compliance program. Our Code defines what we stand for and how we conduct our business. All associates and members of the Board of Directors are expected to conduct company business consistent with the requirements of our Code.

Ethics Helpline

As part of our robust speak-up culture, Alcon encourages and expects its associates to ask questions and report ethical concerns by contacting a member of management, Human Resources, Compliance, Legal, or the Alcon Ethics Helpline.
The Alcon Ethics Helpline is an independently managed, confidential online and telephone service available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, in multiple languages. Third Party Code of Conduct

Alcon requires third parties who conduct business with Alcon to comply with applicable legal requirements and to meet Alcon expectations stated in the Alcon Third Party Code of Conduct. Third Parties are also expected to adopt with their own suppliers the same broad principles covered in this Code.

Compliance Program Description and Declarations

At Alcon, we believe in having a strong global integrity and compliance program that includes appropriate practices to prevent, deter and address compliance and ethical violations. The following statements provide additional information about our program and practices.

Transparency

Where required by law, Alcon reports to appropriate government authorities the payments and other transfers of value Alcon makes in the relevant geography to specified healthcare parties.

Supplier Information

We have a strong commitment to the diversity of our supplier base. To help us achieve our goals, we request that our majority suppliers actively participate in our Supplier Diversity initiative by seeking tier-two relationships with minorities, women, small businesses, veteran, disadvantaged veteran businesses, HubZone certified businesses and small disadvantaged businesses (SDB). This participation demonstrates added value on the part of our majority suppliers.

Supplier Information

In line with the company’s commitment to innovation, Alcon is transferring to SAP and progressively introducing a new enterprise resource system.

On January 2020, the SAP implementation will engage at Fort Worth Manufacturing (FWM), Sinking Spring (ADP), and Huntington (HWV).

These suppliers meet our high standards of ethics, business integrity and environmental/safety practices. They also bring a diversity of ideas, a wealth of innovation and positive business Impact. By utilizing and partnering with small and diverse companies, Alcon will continue to build a supplier base that contributes to our competitive advantage.

Health, Safety and Environment (HSE)

Protecting the health and safety of associates, neighbors and others affected by our business activities, and protecting the environment are core values. We consider HSE implications in the full spectrum of our worldwide eye care activities with the intent to protect associates, neighbors, patients, business assets, natural resources and the environment.
