FORT WORTH, Texas, June 11, 2015 – Alcon, the global leader in eye care and division of Novartis, will launch a two-count package of AIR OPTIX^® COLORS contact lenses, available in the US from June 15 to Sept. 30, 2015, or while supplies last. Packages of two lenses will be available in all nine colors, from subtle to bold, and the full range of available lens powers, including plano.

“Many patients have expressed interest in enhancing their eye color, and many want to try more than one color with different makeup and clothing to see which ones best suit them,” said Dr. April Jasper, an optometrist in West Palm Beach, Florida. “These 2-packs are a nice way to introduce patients to color contact lenses, because they allow patients to try one or more colors before committing to purchasing a 6- or 12-month supply.”

Patients who purchase a two-count package from eye care professionals and internet retailers between June 15 and Sept. 30, 2015, are eligible to receive a $10 rebate gift card. AIR OPTIX^® COLORS 2-count packs are available in the full range of nine colors, including Brilliant Blue, Gemstone Green, Sterling Gray, Honey, Pure Hazel, Blue, Green, Gray and Brown.

AIR OPTIX^® COLORS contact lenses launched in the US in June 2014. They are the first monthly replacement, daily wear color lenses available in the US on a silicone hydrogel platform, allowing up to six times more oxygen through the contact lens compared to the leading, older technology color contact lens.¹. AIR OPTIX^® COLORS contact lenses are recommended for daily wear with a monthly replacement schedule. The lenses are available with an 8.6 mm base curve and a 14.2 mm diameter. The contact lens power ranges from +6.00D to -6.00D in 0.25D steps (including plano) and -6.50D to -8.00D in 0.50D steps.
